Woodford House Access Statement

Woodford House does not have a lift, stair lift or rooms on the ground floor.

Woodford House can be approached from the road either: a. By a door in the garden wall or b. From the guest parking area at the bottom of the garden. a. The door in the garden wall has a 20mm high step to enter the 830mm wide door. There are then 3 steps (highest 240mm) to a pebbled path to the entrance porch and front door. There is a 20mm slate step into the entrance porch. b. Entry from the guest parking area is via a 890mm wide gate. There is a small concrete slope to an almost level gravel path (750mm wide at narrowest point) to a pebbled path in front of the house.

From the porch, entry is through the 775mm wide front door into the entrance hall which has a slightly uneven slate flagstoned floor. From the entrance hall access to the rooms is via the staircase (800mm wide), which has a handrail on the left hand side all the way up. There are 10 steps to 4 turning steps and 4 further steps to the first floor landing. All steps are 175mm high.

From the first floor landing, the rooms are accessed as follows:

Exmoor - 720mm wide entrance door, 575mm wide ensuite door.

Brendon - 740mm wide entrance door, 585mm wide ensuite door.

Brunel - 740mm wide entrance door, 740mm wide bathroom door.
